Terms and Conditions for becoming Delegate at the Sammelan 2019
Sammelan Registration
Any Resident or Non Resident Indian Saraswat can become a delegate* (or other category) at the All India Saraswat Sammelan 2019 by paying the amounts as shown below :-
Delegate* Registration:
Early bird Registration (till 18 Jan 2019): Rs. 1200/- per person
Normal Delegate Registration (Now NOT applicable): Rs. 1500/- per person
Spot Delegate Registration: Rs. 1500/- per person
* By becoming a delegate (or other category), an individual accepts the constitution of AISCO.
Details about such as Objectives of Sammelan, Sammelan Program etc. are carried below and elsewhere on the website www.aisco.org.in
Sammelan Delegate Membership will become effective from the time Delegate Fees as per delegate type are received by AISCO, Mumbai.
What is included in Delegate Fees :
1. Registration Kit
2. Meals at Venue during Sammelan
What is not included in Delegate Fees :
1. Accommodation
2. Meals other than during Sammelan
3. Train / Bus / Air fares
4. Mumbai Sight Seeing
Objectives of Sammelan
To bring together Saraswats of all denominations from all over India for inter blend, better understanding and mutual appreciation.
To identify the areas of unity and diversity among the various Saraswat denominations and to devise a strategy for their unified development, taking into considerations these factors.
To facilitate the preservation and propagation of the Saraswat way of life with reference to cultural indicators such as language, customs and traditions, arts and craft.
To focus attention on the religious, cultural, social, economic and other issues that affect and concern the lives of Saraswats in particular.
To encourage a sense of pride and prestige among the Saraswat population through greater self awareness and knowledge of their rich cultural heritage.
Sammelan Program
The Convention to feature:-
Conference where there will be papers presented, lectures delivered, discussions held and resolutions debated over by eminent scholars and and renowned experts on a wide variety of topics and issues concerning Saraswats.
Saraswat Darshan: An exhibition of the uniqueness and rich variety of the Saraswat Culture in terms of literature, costume, cuisine, architecture, instruments, artifacts, rare objects and exhibits, hall of fame etc.
Cultural presentations where in the evening the delegates will be offered the glimpse of a fascinating variety of Saraswat arts ranging from Folk arts, to theater to music to cultural programmes of every kind.
Felicitations where individuals and institutions that have put in meritorious service for the preservation and propagation of the Saraswat language, literature and culture will be honoured by eminent people specially invited for the purpose.
Competitions and contests will be held for enthusiastic Saraswat men, women and children all background to display their talents in various fields.
