Obituary
Today on this day, 26th January 2021 with profound grief and sense of deep loss, we inform you
all about the sad demise of Shri K G Mallya of Kinnigoli, the former editor of the Saraswat
community Magazine, Samyukta Saraswat.
He passed away in a brief illness,leaving behind his beloved wife and two daughters.
He was associated with the Saraswat Community for almost 50 years.
His passing away is a colossal loss to AISCO (All India Saraswat Cultural Organisation) and the
Saraswat community. Shri Mallya served as the former editor to Samyukta Saraswat for
almost 20 long years and was an active member of AISCO. Aisco has lost a tireless soldier who
spent memorable years with us and was very important in keeping us focused and together.
He was a Retired Banker and a renowned Konkani and Saraswat activist. He has authored several
books on banking and culture. He was a wonderful writer and wrote many interesting educative
short stories. He had dedicated his precious time for the cause of our community, working
selflessly and diligently. His commitment was unparalleled.
Connecting Saraswats from distant places and promoting their work through Samyukta
Saraswat Bulletin was his mission.
His deep involvement in Community work, dedication and impeccable knowledge made a
praiseworthy contribution to the community.
He had been a guiding light to the community fellows. He was considered to be one of the most
prolific persons in our community.
He was modest, affable, and a great human being. He was a man of deep intellect and a voice
of reason.
We at AISCO, will do everything possible in our scope to keep his work alive. He will be greatly
missed by the fellow members of AISCO. His positives memories will always remain with us.
